Imagine the innocence of a blank white canvas where the artist has a preconceived concept in mind before the first stroke. That’s what fashion photography is to me. From the colour of the background, the lighting to the physic of the model. The point is everything is carefully thought through, flitting across the lines of constructive and Ad hoc creativity.
‘Energy is the Special ingredient in the creative recipe’
It is very important to hire or use a professional model or someone who knows how to model when it comes to fashion photography. I tend to get less creative when I have to spend so much time having to instruct the model when it should come naturally. Fashion photography is about energy, attitude and the aptitude to get into the role required at each changing moment. This put the photographer in creative heaven allowing them to focus on painting the model with light.
